Mohammed Aaquib Qureshi has been a dedicated Mehendi Artist for the past eight years, following a path shaped by his childhood inspiration—his elder sister’s creative work in mehendi art. Her influence sparked his own interest in mehendi art, leading him to join a professional class to hone his skills.
Born and raised in Agra, Aaquib pursued his formal education there itself, completing Engineering and an MBA. Despite his academic path, his passion for mehendi art never faded. After completing his 12th grade, he began practicing mehandi part-time, even while studying engineering.
Reflecting on his mistakes, Aaquib acknowledges that building a successful profession requires not only time and energy but also financial investment. He admits he neglected to invest in promoting his services while offering home services, which hindered his growth. Additionally, he regrets not using the off-seasons to further refine his skills, recognizing the seasonal nature of his art form.
When it comes to his inspirations, Aaquib credits his first teacher, Vijay, for laying the foundation of his craft. He has since expanded his repertoire by learning new designs and techniques from social media, continuously drawing inspiration from the work of others to enhance his own artistry.
Aaquib’s guiding principle in life is simple but powerful: "Always put your 100% into your work.
