Mita Mitra hails from Mumbai. Hitherto, she has accomplished herself as an actor, choreographer and dancer in the entertainment industry. She has done innumerable dance shows, short films, plays, music albums and movies. Mita is also the Vice- President of ‘Dance Federation'.
Mita basically belongs from a bengali family and her father was in the defence sector. She was an average student, and desired to become an actress during her school days. But, as her parents were not in support, she had to drop her passion. She got married early at the age of sixteen and afterwards got settled in Chandigarh.
Later on, her passion for dancing emerged again and she decided not to give up on that. Despite getting married and having a daughter, she dedicated herself to follow her passion. She joined ‘Punjab Dance Club’ as a choreographer. Everyone appreciated her a lot and she gradually started doing stage shows and plays. Since then, she has been working as a choreographer for the past twenty years.
Mita feels that her biggest achievement was when she got an opportunity to judge the ‘International Dance Championship’ show in Goa.
