Minesh Kumar Jayantilal Patel is an artist who is also a social worker. He has created a Digital Diary of the members of his Patidar community and constantly includes his community members’ names in it. . He also writes articles about art.
Recalling his childhood, Minesh Kumar says he grew up in Shahwadi in Ahmedabad. He had been interested in drawing since he was a child. He used to make portraits of gods and national heroes easily. Later, he joined Kala Kendra College of Fine Arts and studied there for 5 years. Afterwards, he worked in the cable TV field in Ahmedabad.
Sharing his journey, Minesh Kumar says he gave an interview for teaching and got a job, but couldn’t make it. However, he got another opportunity and became an art teacher. Later, he visited London for work and spent 10 years working there. He invested his savings in properties. Currently, he writes articles and creates paintings.
He believes in silent exercise, which is keeping yourself active all day and to work. He says a routine should be good enough to keep their bodies fit.
Sharing his pandemic experience, he says he started writing articles about COVID-19 and the situation of people in India. It got him donations, from which he helped people during hard times.
When asked about his role models, Minesh Kumar says he considers himself a teacher and believes teachers play an important role in life.
Minesh Kumar’s life mantra is "Practice will always help you achieve success”.
Minesh Kumar suggests people set goals and be mentally prepared for their achievement. He believes self-doubt may impact success, so people should always be clear about their goal.
Along with painting, Minesh Kumar likes to listen to music.
