Milind is a Musician and loves Indie music. He feels that people are quite inexpressive in India even if they like some music. They don’t express themselves much by liking or sharing and should do so more often.

Milind Chitnavis is a Musician and owns a band ‘Music UnLtd’.

Milind says that his interest in Music started from his very early days. In his childhood, he used to learn light Indian music. He used to learn to play musical instruments like Harmonium and Jaltarang. In his college days, his interest in Music increased, and he became a part of the band ‘Virgo’ and started with Rock music. Milind then learned Western Music from Delhi School of Music and professional Guitar from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California.

However, when Milind came back, he realized that there was no market for Independent (Indie) Music so he got into commercial music like advertisements and web series. However, as his heart was always in Indie music, and so, Milind eventually started his band in 2014.

Milind says that they play in popular clubs like Hard Rock Café, Harry’s, and in different music festivals. Their music is also available on platforms like iTunes, Amazon Music, Saavn, and various FM Radio channels. He was always particular that he did not have to play Film music as he thinks that a lot of people are already doing it. Milind has always been inclined towards Indie music and original compositions and maintains that even now.

Milind acknowledges that Covid hit everyone badly and especially the Entertainment Industry. However, they had already started going digital even before Covid. Milind maintains that this is only a stop-gap arrangement and nothing can beat the physical experience of attending a concert or going to a club.

Milind says that the two milestones in his life are deciding to get into this field and then picking up Indie music. Both these were tough choices but have turned out well for Milind.

Milind says that people who want to come into this industry should know that this is a very unpredictable field. If someone is aiming for only monetary gains then they should choose Films or Regional Music. He also feels that along with talent there are other things that play an important role in success like marketing and fancy videos. Milind says that many substandard musicians are successful due to this and hence we should be ready for this as well.

Milind enjoys every genre of Music like Indian Classical, Western Classical, Rock, and others and is inspired by artists from these genres and takes motivation from all of them.
