If you want to be a CEO, look like a CEO.
Mekhla Bhowmik is the founder of ‘Go Beauty with Brains’ consulting services, based in Udaipur.
Mekhla did her schooling at various convent schools. As she had to move around a lot, she had very few friends and used to spend most of her time with her parents and brother. She was always interested in doing creative things, such as dance and music. She recalls being bullied in her school because of her weight, and that too has had an effect on her career choices.
Mekhla shares that she worked for thirteen years in the corporate sector in the customer services department. During the COVID lockdown, she got a chance to do a Soft Skills Training certification course. Later, she did an Image Management course that was globally certified. She decided to utilize her learning from the course and her past experience in the corporate sector, and launched her consulting services, ‘Go Beauty With Brains’. She aims to convince people that they can enhance their inner beauty, confidence, personality, and communication skills through proper guidance.
Mekhla believes that self-esteem plays an essential role in building our careers. It helps us know our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Building our self-esteem can lead us to greater heights in our lives. She advises everyone to go for a soft skills training course that can help enhance their personalities.
When asked about her role models, Mekhla says she considers herself her role model. She has learned from her past experiences and feels that we must learn from wherever we get the chance to gain knowledge.
Sharing about her achievements, Mekhla says that she has traveled around the country and got the chance to experience various cultures, which is like an achievement for her. Besides that, though she had received numerous awards when she was working in the corporate sector, being able to start her own venture as an entrepreneur is her biggest accomplishment in her life.
Mekla advises the youth of the country to concentrate on themselves rather than comparing themselves with others. Learn and explore yourself first. She advises practicing meditation to help you become more aware of who you are and to generate fresh thoughts.
