Mehul has been taking his family business forward for the last four years. He has achieved good recognition in the handloom weaving business from the state and central governments.

Mehul Kumar runs a weaving business in Gujarat. He specializes in handloom weaving on patola silk sarees. He says that his family has been doing this business for a long time but he joined it four years ago.

Mehul was born in Karol village but was raised in Limbdi in Gujarat. He completed all his education from Limbdi itself.

Mehul considers his father as his role model as because of him, he came into this business and has been able to take it further.

Talking about struggles, Mehul says that ever since he started studying, there had always been difficulties in his life. After graduation, he gave many interviews but he was never offered the salary he expected. Then he decided to join the family business of handloom weaving. So there were many challenges in his life.

Mehul tells us about his achievements that he has received a weaver card from the Government of India. He has also got approval from the Silk Mark Organization of India, which is an achievement for him.

Mehul advises the young generation that whatever you do, do it wholeheartedly. Don’t do it under pressure of the family or just to show it to anyone. Further, he says that if you have a family business, then there is no better option than joining that. Because in your family business, you have the liberty to experiment new ideas. He believes no work is small.
