Megha Sharma belongs to Udaipur and did his schooling from RMV School. Then she went to M.G. College for her graduation in B.Com and then she did B.Ed from Jyoti Public School. After that she did P.G.D.C.A. and recently she has completed her M.Com.
Megha says that she was never interested in teaching because she took Commerce as her subject to do something different. But after completion of her B.Com she got married and as her father-in-law was a ‘Sarpanch’, he forced her to go into teaching and that’s how she ended up entering this field. She opted for teaching Maths due to having a Commerce background.
After coming to Udaipur, Megha joined Shishu Bharti to teach Commerce subjects. She has about eight years of experience in teaching. She says that she has had a great experience at Shishu Bharti for her head believed in her teaching the Commerce subjects even though she had an experience of teaching only Maths before.
Megha says that she wanted to become a Software Engineer but she could not. She says she has struggled a lot in life for studies and topped the University.
Megha misses her childhood friends and school days a lot. She says that today’s children are far ahead of teachers and are masterminds. So she advises new teachers that your job is to teach them well, update yourself as much as you can, be knowledgeable to imbibe that knowledge into students and keep them posted about the current things related to a subject. Also, she says it is important to build a strong foundation for them of basic knowledge and concepts.
Megha says she learned the importance of mobile phones during the lockdown as it proved to be very helpful in teaching children via online mediums. She says that she had a unique experience during the lockdown as she was staying with her in-laws in a village where for the first time she learned about the cultivation of wheat.
Megha opines that education teaches us and gives us an understanding about wrong and right behaviour, but experience tells us how to use that education.
Megha loves to read and currently she is preparing for REET. Other than that she likes to listen to songs, especially she enjoys listening to hymns of Lord Krihna and Lord Shiva.
