Megha Saha is currently pursuing her LLB from Jyotirmoy School of Law in West Bengal. She has also been associated with an NGO called ‘Sarang Welfare Society’ as its senior member for a year now.
Megha belongs to Kolkata. She did her schooling from Mansur Habibullah Memorial School. She says that her childhood had been a roller-coaster ride for her. She grew up in a joint family and was pampered a lot. She says that coming from a middle-class family, she saw many ups and downs in her childhood. She was taught to help and support others and so she developed an interest in doing charitable work and contributing to society at a young age.
Megha shares that her journey with Sarang started with a clothes distribution drive on Guru Nanak Jayanti. From there, she started contributing in many such events such as distribution of stationary, sanitary napkins, awareness camps, cleaning drives, etc and also visited the orphanage and old age homes several times.
Speaking about her role models, Megha says she believes that the feeling of doing charitable work has been inculcated in her by her mother and that’s why she considers her as her biggest inspiration.
Talking about her achievements, Megha says that she has received a lot of appreciation and blessings from people for working in the field of social service, which is an achievement for her. Besides, all the orphans and elders like her a lot and wish her to achieve heights in life and it is the biggest achievement for her.
Sharing her COVID experience, Megha says that Sarang started when COVID was at its peak. At that time, she got associated with this NGO and brought relief to many needy people in several ways by distributing various supplies.
Describing her hobbies, Megha says she loves to dance. In addition, she has creative instincts, so she likes to write poems too.
If anyone wants to start their own NGO or wants to get associated with any established NGO, then Megha advises them that you don’t need to think much about it and just be a part of it because good things will come automatically towards you. Further, she says that if you really want to do something in this field then you will automatically find your way and you will do well in it.
