Meenu stepped out of her comfort zone to explore the real world. She has been working as a lecturer for the past 12 years and enjoys spreading her knowledge and aspires to do something for herself and her students.

Meenu is an Assistant Professor at a government college for girls in Chandigarh.

Meenu was born and brought up in Chandigarh.

Recalling her childhood, Meenu says she was a pampered and loved child in her family, and she claims she is still pampered a lot.

Sharing her journey as a teacher, Meenu says after completing her Ph.D., she did her B.Ed. and started teaching in schools, which made her learn about child psychology. After some time, she joined a college as a lecturer. She likes to guide children, especially young girls who face challenges in their lives. She aspires to do something for herself, her students, and the country.

Meenu says she never wanted to work, but because of her health issues, doctors advised her to get out and do something productive, and with her education, she could easily get into any job. She began working and soon realized that she was far removed from the ground reality. Meanwhile, she found her passion in teaching. She feels a person should pursue teaching only if they want to spread their knowledge. She feels that even the students pass on their positive energy to teachers.

Speaking about her mistakes, Meenu says that she had been a negative person but realized with time that we have positive as well as negative phases in life. Initially, she was an introverted person, but now she feels elated to teach her students.

Sharing about her achievements, Meenu says that earning her parent’s trust is her greatest achievement. Completing her research work is also an achievement for her. Her interviews have also been published in newspapers.

When asked about her role models, Meenu says that her parents are her biggest role models because they always stood by her side irrespective of what society would say.

Meenu enjoys reading books and spending time with her family in her spare time. On holidays, she likes to travel. She is also fond of cooking.

In times of stress, she likes to discuss her problems with her mother.

Meenu’s life mantra is to be positive and keep working hard. She believes hurdles are inevitable, but one should not get disheartened and move on with a positive attitude in life.
