Meenal Pokhra is an Udaipur-based yoga instructor and trainer. Her experience in the field of yoga amounts to three and a half years. She works as a yoga trainer, both offline and online, offering her skills to the public.
Meenal Pokhra began her training as a yoga instructor after learning the technique from Aarunyaa Yoga Meditation Centre in Udaipur. She picked up conversational skills, yoga instruction, and class management there.
Meenal lists her participation in the state-level yoga tournament held in Sriganganagar in 2023 as one of her accomplishments. There, she took third place and took home a state level bronze medal. Thereafter she got a chance to compete in a national level yoga competition in Kolkata.
Meenal was born in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh but currently lives in Udaipur. Her early years were spent in Udaipur, where she also finished her education at Guru Nanak Public School. She then completed her studies at Meera Girls College and graduated from there. She had her first yoga experience during a seven-day yoga camp held at her college. Her passion in this subject grew gradually, and she completed her MA in Yoga from Shramjeevi College. She then began teaching yoga.
Reflecting on her journey, Meenal says that she was already active in the fitness world before she started yoga. She was constantly pushed to join the fitness field by her elder brother, Aayush Kumar Pokhra, who has many years of experience in the industry. However, as she had little interest in going to the gym, her brother gave her the idea to take up yoga. Subsequently, she began independently practising yoga at home.
Meenal Pokhra advises everyone that it's crucial to do yoga because it makes you strong physically and mentally, regardless of the sector you work in. Engage in physical exercise of any type to enhance your body's blood circulation and prevent illness, advises Meenal. Avoiding illnesses can also benefit your lifestyle, so carry on with your yoga practice and move forward.
