Meenakshi Solanki, Director of ‘Diva n Debonair’ (Beauty Lounge & Skills Academy), is a highly experienced professional in the beauty industry. She is known for her exceptional skills and expertise in various beauty treatments and techniques.

Hailing from Ajmer, Meenakshi completed schooling from various schools as her father had a transferable job. She went to Sophia College to receive her further higher education. Later, in Jaipur, she completed beauty and management courses. Her diverse educational background has helped shape her into a well-rounded individual with a unique perspective on beauty.

Meenakshi's career in the beauty industry began in 2007, and she has been passionate about it ever since. She has worked for a variety of beauty brands and salons, gaining extensive knowledge and experience in the industry. Later, in 2016, she opened her own beauty salon and skills academy called ‘Diva n Debonair.’

Meenakshi offers top-notch beauty services and teaches aspiring beauticians the skills of the trade at her academy and beauty lounge. She is passionate about helping people in the beauty industry achieve their goals.

Remembering her childhood, Meenakshi says that since her childhood, she and her two younger sisters had seen their parents work hard to provide for the family. Her parents instilled the values of hard work and determination in her and her siblings. She and her sisters developed a sense of responsibility and used to take care of  most of the household chores. They were always there for each other, supporting and helping each other. This upbringing inspired Meenakshi to pursue a career dedicated to helping others achieve their dreams.

Speaking about her struggles, Meenaskhi remembers her initial days when she left home with one of her close friends to establish her own identity. Following a close friend who wanted to pursue her dreams while she was still in college, she made the decision to relocate to Jaipur. Meenakshi borrowed three thousand rupees from her father and moved to the new city. Her friend eventually gave up and returned to Ajmer after two months, but Meenakshi didn't. She was determined to keep pursuing her goals.  She began working in a call center and became self-sufficient. Living without family and adjusting to the long hours was initially difficult for her, but she persisted and eventually excelled in her position. Later, she established a lucrative business by opening her own beauty and skills academy. Although being an entrepreneur was not an easy road, she was adamant about getting past any challenges she faced. Her resilience and determination allowed her to not only overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic but also to thrive in a changing market during the challenging phase of the COVID pandemic, where the beauty and salon industry suffered greatly.

In times of hardship and adversity, Meenakshi looks up to her parents and siblings because they have always been her sources of strength and inspiration. Their unwavering confidence in her abilities and ongoing support have fueled her entrepreneurial spirit and inspired her to persevere through even the most trying circumstances. Meenakshi has grown stronger and more resilient than ever thanks to their advice and support as she has successfully navigated the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.

When asked which is more important—education or experience—Meenakshi says that education is important because it helps one develop a strong foundation for success and shapes one's perspective. She claims that without education, people might be less equipped with the abilities and information needed to overcome obstacles and be more resilient than ever. To remain competitive in the quickly changing world of today, one needs to continually improve their skills and learn new things.

Meenakshi counsels young people to develop a set of skills in addition to their education in order to have a successful and fulfilling career. She advises the youth to especially learn to develop communication skills, which are essential in building relationships and effectively conveying ideas.

Meenakshi advises those interested in a career in the beauty industry to acquire knowledge and proficiency in a variety of beauty techniques as well as to keep up with the most recent fashions and technological advancements. She advises them to pursue the career path they are passionate about and give it their all in order to succeed and find fulfillment in their work.

Her motto for success is that excellent work is never overlooked and will eventually be acknowledged and rewarded. In her opinion, the secret to long-term success in the beauty industry is perseverance and dedication. She believes that our sincere efforts, wise decisions, and ongoing learning will help us achieve our goals.
