Mayank Kothari was born in Udaipur. His paternal place is a few kilometers from Udaipur in the village Gogunda.
Mayank did his schooling from Alok Senior Secondary School and then did his M.Com. in Business Administration.
Mayank shares that his family has been in the field of education from the beginning. A few years ago, his father had established a school in Surat. They didn’t have much finances at that time and arranged it from different sources to invest in this school. Mayank says that he and his brother used to stick posters in the night for promotions. His father asked Mayank to arrange his own money for his daily expenses and Mayank started giving home tuition during his college days. He also started doing a part-time job at LIC. He says that LIC taught him a way to communicate with people and made him more socially active.
Today, they are successful in the field of education and Mayank is working as the director of Arihant Nursing Institute and Arihant Mahila Teachers Training College. Mayank says that the credit for this success goes to his father and brother who initiated this idea in 1991. They started with just 100 students in their school and today have a strength of 6000 students. The B.Ed. College was established in 2006 and the Nursing Institute in 2008. Mayank shares that around 1800 students have done B. Ed from their college and are teaching at reputed schools and colleges now.
Mayank says that he has always loved working for society as well. He started participating in social work from a very early age.
When he was just seventeen years old, he became the president of ‘Kishore Mandal’ which was an organization of their community for children below the age of eighteen. They collected funds from different sources and organized many events which Mayank is proud of even now.
He was also associated with the Terapanth Yuvak Parishad and provided his services to it. Mayank has been politically active as well. He entered the Bharatiya Janata Party as a block member and has graced the position of Zila Upadhyaksh in the organization.
Mayank is also a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and has been working as a Swayamsevak for the past thirty years.
Mayank says that the credit for his success goes to his parents and his brother. He feels that we should always respect our family and should try to keep them happy.
Talking about his ideals, Mayank shares that his family is his inspiration and he has learned a lot from them. His role models are Swami Vivekananda and Bhagat Singh because of the work they did for the youth of our country.
The only message he wants to give the youth is to choose a field that interests them and do as much hard work as possible to excel in that field.
Mayank says that if given an opportunity, he would like to travel around the world and would like to compile the knowledge from different countries and cultures into a single book.
In his free time, he likes to spend time with his family, listening to and learning music and reading books.
