Mathura Lal is from Hapahedi village in the Baran district of Rajasthan. When he grew up he began working to earn and contribute to the family income. Initially he worked as a daily wages labourer where he was paid five rupees after four days of work. Then, Mathura Lal joined the military and was part of the glorious victory of India in the Bangladesh liberation war of 1971. However when he returned home, his parents got very emotional and insisted him to leave the military as they cared too much for him. Thus Mathura Lal left the military after four years of service.
Mathura Lal started farming after leaving the military and soon he got married. Then he moved to Baran city, where he was offered the job of a guard for a salary of fifty rupees a month. After some time, Mathura Lal got into the contracting business and thereafter became more and more successful and reputed in his work.
Mathura Lal lives a satisfied life with his four children and a diversified career experience.
