Maria Victor is the Founder and CEO of Make It Happen Thematic Trails Pvt. Ltd. It is an experiential travel company that specializes in designing and curating unique traveling experiences in Goa, Diu, and Coonoor.
Maria hails from Panjim, Goa. She says in her childhood, she was a highly energetic child and eager to learn new things. Her mother gave her puzzles, drawing, coloring, music, dancing, and swimming assignments to keep her busy. Since childhood, she has had a lot of opportunities to learn new things.
Maria graduated from Goa and went to Bangalore through campus placement. She worked as a Chartered Management Accountant trainee. She worked in Dubai, London, Paris, and Mumbai. But, after working for several years, she thought to bring a change in the nature of Goa tourism. So, she launched many projects in Goa that showcased its heritage.
Talking about her role models, Maria says her parents are her role models. She learned business skills from them. Her husband is also a pillar of strength to her. Also, Maria is inspired by many who came her way.
During the pandemic, Maria says that her business came to a standstill. She released virtual films and many videos that took her beyond the limits of success.
When asked about her hobbies, Maria says dancing and occasionally cooking recreates her. Also, meeting new people and taking new opportunities, whether for work or leisure, are her hobbies.
For young minds, Maria suggests that there are a lot of opportunities available in the tourism industry if they are ready to take risks. She also asks the youth to showcase their talents and contribute to the national economy.
For one and all, Maria says it is essential to go beyond the fear of failure and take calculated risks for a successful life.
