Manu Rao is the proud owner of ATN News, a news channel in Udaipur. He was born and raised in a village near Udaipur, and he attended Sundarvas School for his primary education. His father was the chief editor of a newspaper company at the time. Manu then moved to a nearby village in Kurabad to complete his higher secondary education. As a child, he used to deliver newspapers in his village.

Manu's first job was at CTV Media, where he gained valuable experience before starting his own local channel in 2008. He established ATN News with the help and support of his friends, with the goal of broadcasting more local news and giving a voice to the local public.

Throughout his career, Manu's family has been extremely supportive, helping him every step of the way as an entrepreneur and journalist. He believes that his familial ties to the profession and his exposure to media from a young age destined him to become a journalist. He still seeks his father's advice to this day.

In the late 2000s, Manu discovered the power of social media and used it to expand his media channel. He opened the Udaipur News page on social media and gained popularity. As electronic devices with social media features replace traditional newspapers, social media provides news at the touch of a button.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Manu and his team continued reporting news updates despite the lockdown. They risked their lives to provide breaking news on both the good and bad aspects of society. Manu also uncovered scams related to the prices of goods to increase awareness among the general public. He engaged in social service and organized plantation drives in Udaipur, recognizing the importance of clean air. His main goal is to be of service to the general public, providing strength during difficult times.

For aspiring reporters, Manu advises treating reporting as a unique opportunity and not an ordinary job. One must be willing to work at any time of day and report truthfully and honestly, despite the risks involved. He regards his father as a role model and believes leadership is developed through experience, patience, and active participation in team discussions.

If given a chance to go back in time, Manu would spend more time with his father during his childhood. He advises people to be aware of their community and strive to learn the truth in any form. Despite the challenges faced, one must have the courage to persevere, says Manu.
