Mansvi Joshi is an anchor who has been professionally involved in this field since 2019.
Recalling her childhood, Mansvi shares that she grew up with her grandparents and was a pampered kid. She remembers participating in group activities with her friends. Mansvi also recollects her grandfather accompanying her in a debate competition while she was in the 8th grade.
Talking about her early days, Mansvi shares that she initially wanted to become a doctor. She also knew that she wanted to do something in the field of communications. Mansvi was always keen on participating in debates before she realised that anchoring could give her a bigger platform to showcase her skills better.
Discussing her professional journey and the subsequent challenges, Mansvi says she started her career by hosting her friend’s wedding. Being a female and belonging to Rajasthan, she felt anchoring didn’t come easy for her in the initial days, especially owing to the conservative environment and a few tough clients that she came across. However, with her jolly and friendly attitude, she could easily win the hearts of her clients.
When asked about her mistakes, Mansvi says that at her first wedding event, she took the wrong name of one of the guests and later had to cover it up. She learnt that, as an anchor, one needs to be very careful of the guest list and keep in mind the sequence of activities at the event.
Speaking of her achievements, Mansvi recollects a Sindhi-Punjabi wedding where she felt loved and was treated just like a family member. That moment was precious for her, which she considers an achievement.
When asked about her role models, Mansvi says she draws inspiration from her grandparents, who taught her to be helpful and be true to herself. She also feels inspired by her anchoring mentor, Sandeep Sen, who has the quality of appreciating everyone for what they do. Mansvi also considers Swami Vivekananda her role model.
In her message to aspiring anchors, Mansvi says first they should enjoy socialising and meeting people. She adds that they should strive to become a part of people’s happiness and start by hosting an event for their loved ones.
When stressed, Mansvi likes to journal and pen down her feelings. She also enjoys reading novels and listening to devotional songs to calm herself.
Mansvi feels that you become what you aspire to be if you try for it with determination. Her life mantra is that if you want something, then the entire universe conspires to make it true for you.
