An academic coordinator in a school, Manjeeta, with her exceptional ability to lead, is building professional, cooperative relationships with the staff, the parents, and the administration of the school.

Manjeeta Ramdeo is an Academic Coordinator at Rockwoods High School, Udaipur.

Manjeeta was born and brought up in Jodhpur, and all her schooling was done in Jodhpur itself. After her marriage, she moved to Udaipur. She has been working with the group for the past seventeen years.

Recalling her childhood memories, Manjeeta says she was brought up at her nani’s place under her maternal uncle and aunt’s care. She says she was very active in sports and was the monitor of her class until the tenth grade. She was also a national-level volleyball player in her school days.

Speaking about her struggles, Manjita says that, by the grace of God, she has not faced a hard struggle in her life like others, but she got married at the tender age of seventeen. After her marriage, she moved to Udaipur, and coming from a joint family, it was a huge challenge for her to settle into a nuclear family. After a while,  she thought she should start working, and for this, her husband had to convince her father, who was very conservative. She completed all her education with the support of her husband and her in-laws. She is happy and proud of how far she has come.

When asked about her role models, Manjeeta says she considers three people in her life as her role models. The first is her nani, who taught her all the rituals and the manners to follow all the traditions as a girl.  The second was her father, who never failed to support and believe in her. She also looks up to her chairwoman. Alka Sharma, as a mentor.

Speaking about her COVID experience, Manjita says that the biggest challenge she faced during the pandemic was connecting with the children. They looked at a variety of options for online classes, tried to make teachers techno-savvy, trained them, and persuaded the parents to sign up for online classes because many didn't have the necessary equipment and parents were skeptical too. Her family also got infected by the virus but still did not lose courage and came out of every difficulty. She thinks the most important lesson this pandemic has taught us is to be patient in all situations.

Manjita enjoys spending her leisure time with her kids. She says that whenever she has time, she shares things about her office with her children so that she does not have to teach them separately about how to deal with challenges in life because she believes her experience is their training.

Manjita wants to give advice to those who want to enter the teaching field, telling them not to enter this field, believing it to be the simplest, because as a teacher, you hold someone else's future in your hands. Because of this, the person who comes in to teach should have patience and a willingness to learn.

Manjita shares her success mantra, saying that anybody with whom she comes into contact, young or old, she always speaks to them with love and respect. She thinks the way we treat others will be returned to us.
