Manjeet always knew that he wanted to paint. From creating banners for movies to tattoos, his journey tells us that dreams can be achieved with hard work and dedication.

Manjeet Singh is the owner of Manjeet Tattooz in New Delhi.

Manjeet was born and brought up in New Delhi. After his 12th standard itself, he started training in drawing and painting. From 1993 to 1999, he worked in banner painting for movie theaters. Then he worked for architects, school paintings, and his own canvas paintings.

Manjeet says that the reason for coming into the field of tattooing was the erratic and late payment system of the field he was working in.

Manjeet shares that after seeing the television show, Miami Ink, he got the inspiration to change his field and started making tattoos.

Talking about his struggles, Manjeet says that he used to walk twenty kilometers from his home to learn to tattoo. He feels that everyone has their own share of struggles in life.

When asked about his role models, Manjeet says that ace painter Ram Kumar is his inspiration in this field. He is also inspired by tattoo artists like Paul Gauthier, Victor Portugal, and Bob Tyrell.

Manjeet feels that anyone can learn to tattoo and having an artistic hand is not quite necessary. With proper training and practice, everyone can excel in this field.

Manjeet believes that the only success mantra in life is to do hard work.

Sharing his COVID experience, Manjeet says that, during COVID, he got time to spend with his family which used to be a rare thing because of his studio.

Manjeet says that his hobby is collecting antique pieces and coins.
