From having to fight for even studying, Manisha has come a long way to become a teacher herself, and is creating a nurturing environment for future technicians.

Manisha Sharma is a Teacher in the Civil Department at Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic College.

Manisha hails from Udaipur. She has done her schooling from St. Teresa’s Sr. Sec. School and then pursued her diploma in Civil Engineering at the Vidya Bhawan College.

Manisha comes from a background where girls weren’t allowed to study much but her parent’s support made it possible for her to study. Later on, when she got married, she again faced restrictions regarding her doing a job but she remained undeterred and began teaching at the Vidya Bhawan Polytechnic College.

When asked about her role models, Manisha says her role models are her grandparents who always advocated equality among men and women and are instrumental in her success.

Advising the younger generation, Manisha says that you should lead a balanced lifestyle and focus on your goals in life.

During her free time, Manisha likes painting, listening to music and going on walks.

Sharing her COVID experience, Manisha says that the Vidya Bhawan institute was very accommodating to its employees which gave her strength during that difficult time.
