Manish Yadav hails from Alwar in Rajasthan. He had his schooling from a school at Neemrana and did his graduation from Sri Visvesvaraya College in Delhi University. Then he went to National Insurance Academy, Pune for a two years specialized course in insurance and was placed in IFFCO Tokio after completion of the course.
Manish is an Assistant Manager in IFFCO Tokio at Udaipur handling brokers. His company gives out all types of non-life insurance, be it motor insurance or industrial, health or any other insurance.
Manish had to face challenges as he moved out of his home 6-7 years ago for studies. Wherever he went he found people of different cultures and had to adjust with them. However, it was also a good learning experience.
Manish considers his businessman father his role model. His father taught him hard work and discipline. Whenever he is in any trouble, he seeks guidance from his father.
For youngsters, Manish’s advice is that, to succeed in this field, they must develop good interpersonal skills. There are a lot of technicalities in the insurance business and they must acquire good knowledge of the technical aspects.
Manish feels that experience is more important in life than education. In his opinion experience teaches you on every step of life.
Asked about his childhood, Manish remembers how much he enjoyed spending time at his father’s showroom at Behror, a small town. He thinks it was there that he developed an interest in doing something which requires convincing others.
Even if he is taken back in time he would not change anything in his life and only want to be a good manager at an insurance company.
Manish thinks that the success mantra for insurance companies is maintaining a good claim settlement ratio. His company IFFCO Tokio has the best claim settlement ratio in the industry.
In his free time, Manish likes to play badminton daily and talk with his friends to de-stress.
Manish thinks that the Covid era has taught us how to be more cautious about hygiene and also how to have stronger bonds with our families.
