Manish has shown an unwavering dedication to his profession and feels that maintaining the trust of his clientele is crucial.

Manish Sharma is a Lawyer and President of the Bar Association, Udaipur. He has been in the profession of advocacy since 2002. Previously, he had also discharged his duties as Finance Secretary and General Secretary of the Bar Association, Udaipur.

Manish hails from a small village. Both his parents were teachers. He came to Udaipur when his parents were transferred here. He says that no one in his family or community is a lawyer. His inspiration to become a lawyer came from reading newspapers. As a kid, when he would read newspapers, the stories pertaining to particular cases and how the lawyers would handle them would always fascinate him.

Manish shares that this ongoing pandemic has impacted his plans. Owing to this pandemic, the new entrants in this field had to struggle financially. But nonetheless, with the help of the bar council, he extended all the necessary support to them. However, during the pandemic, lawyers too adapted to digitalization. Many court proceedings were held virtually so as to continue the court work.

When asked about his role models, Manish considers his senior, the late Sawai Lal Mogra Ji, as his role model, as he always maintained the decorum of this profession, and he tries to follow in his footsteps. He always motivated him to step out of his comfort zone.

Manish believes that education is necessary to enter any field. And after entering a field, it’s the experience that you gain thereafter that determines your success.

To all the future law aspirants, Manish advises that you should be dedicated to pursuing this profession. Besides, making money should never be your objective, and you should stay honest with your clients. If you stay honest with your clients, you will be able to retain them, which in turn will result in success. He also says that even after completing your college education, you should keep reading so that you can stay up-to-date and relevant.
