An Associate Professor, Manish has twenty years of experience in the education field as well as in the private sector. He advises the youth to strive to attain a balance in their lives and work .

Dr. Manish Sharma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Studies at Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur. He has been associated with the institute for the last eight years.

Discussing his educational qualifications, Manish says he holds an MBA and a PhD. He has also qualified in the NET and SET examinations. His journey into teaching started in 2002 when Manish was in college and used to conduct coaching classes alongside. Since his father was also in the education field, this further inspired Manish to come into the teaching profession. But then, as a postgraduate in Electronics, Manish wanted to join the corporate world and so he got a job at Secure Metres.

Unfortunately Manish met with an accident owing to which he could not join the company. When Manish was working at Kotak Mahindra Bank, his brother was diagnosed with cancer owing to which he had to return back to Udaipur to support his family. Thereafter, Manish had to look for an entirely different field and obtain relevant qualifications to get into it.

Talking about his professional journey, Manish says that his journey started with Zenith Surgical & Allied Products and then moved on to iBX Design and also spending some time at Shreenath Institute of Technical Studies.

When asked about his role models, Manish says he draws inspiration from APJ Abdul Kalam and admires him for his humility and integrity. He finds inspiration in the Dalai Lama’s quote "It is our purpose to be happy."

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Manish says that while education is a passport to the future, hands-on experience is also important, which one gets through experience.

If Manish could get back in time through a time machine, he would avert the accident he had met which changed his career trajectory.

Manish is fond of plants, flowers, and a lush green environment. When free, he devotes his time to gardening and also gives time to his family.
