Hailing from the heart of Rajasthan, Ajmer, Manish Balawat completed his schooling there itself before pursuing engineering in Jaipur. After completing his engineering, he enrolled in a CAD course, which led to a job as a design engineer at Genus Power Infrastructures in Jaipur, where he worked for five years. Later, he launched his own startup, specialising in project consultancy, and managed several projects, including the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) and FRP work.

Manish Balawat recalls that during his studies, he often discussed with friends and seniors about the next steps in his career, especially as an electrical engineer whose work is primarily site-based. However, he had always been passionate about working on computers and doing projects digitally. His seniors advised him to explore CAD, a course that could offer solid career prospects. Following this advice, he joined the CADD Centre, and after completing his CAD training, he secured the position at Genus.

As he progressed to the role of Project Engineer, he received feedback from colleagues highlighting the critical importance of having accurate drawings before starting any site work. He believes, without proper drawings, executing a project successfully is nearly impossible. During his time working on the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana and FRP projects, he realised the significance of technical training. This inspired him to join the institute and, as a manager, he recognized that the more he trained students in the electrical field, the more career opportunities they would have. He also addresses the misconception that AutoCAD or CAD courses are not beneficial for electrical engineering students, firmly believing that these courses can significantly enhance their career prospects.

Balawat shares that during campus interviews, some students struggled to secure placements. When those juniors asked him how he had succeeded, he advised them to take up CAD courses, assuring them that it would not only help them land a job but also boost their career growth.

He has been with CADD Centre for the past nine years, gaining extensive experience working with the railways and companies like Toshniwal and Sigma. His mission is to elevate the design part in this field, taking it from the ground level to new heights.

When he began his project work in 2010, the movie 3 Idiots was released, and Aamir Khan's character in the film deeply inspired him. He often recommends the movie to his juniors and students, encouraging them to draw inspiration from it. The dialogue, "Kabil Bano, Kamyabi Apne Aap Piche Aayegi" (Become capable, and success will follow), resonated with him profoundly. He also advises parents not to impose any particular course on their children but to support them in pursuing the field they are passionate about. He explains that from the start, he knew he wanted to enter design engineering, and by pursuing CAD, he built his career in this field. Today, he finds great happiness and fulfilment in his work.

Manish Balawat highlights several key achievements in his career. Early on, as a design engineer, he successfully managed multiple projects. Through his startup, Project Consultancy, he has trained over 2,000 students. He has also earned prestigious accolades, including the "Best Center Award" in the CAD category from Rajasthan Patrika and Dainik Bhaskar, as well as the "Sales Excellence Award" from CADD Centre. Last year, his CADD Centre in Ajmer achieved the distinction of becoming the only centre in the region certified by Autodesk.

Furthermore, he shares that our Honourable Prime Minister is leading a significant campaign in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Skill India initiative. For the past six years, CADD Centre has proudly partnered in this endeavour, successfully training numerous students under the NSDC and Skill India programs.
