Mangilal is an Indian artist who is into Kasidakari, an Indian embroidery art. He belongs to a family of artisans who have been in this profession for decades.
Recollecting his childhood memories, Mangilal shares that, since he grew up in an artistic environment, the artist in him came out much earlier. He completed his education up to the 10th standard in his village and engaged in housework after returning from school. Mangilal remembers walking to school owing to the lack of road infrastructure in his village.
Mangilal currently relies on government exhibitions to show his art. He is looking for a permanent platform to grow in this field. Mangilal shares that he dropped out of college after failing in two subjects.
Mangilal advises aspiring artists to be patient and mindful while doing Kasidakari. He adds that one needs good observational skills to learn this art better.
Manigal advises the young to start their own business rather than working for someone else and living away from their homes.
When free, Mangilal likes to spend some time in nature at his farm.
