Mangi Lal completed his higher education from MLSU with a Master of Arts degree. Since childhood, he was attracted to Martial Arts and aspired to become one. Mangi Lal started training from a young age under Rajkumar Menaria, a celebrated and learned wrestler. After persevering for years, he received a Black Belt in Karate. Then, Mangi Lal achieved the second, third, and fourth Dan from Mumbai. Later, he did the fifth and sixth Dan and mastered the art.

Mangi Lal says he had to struggle to convince his family about his interest in Martial Arts. Hence, for a brief period, he left practising. However, on the encouragement of his friends, he started an academy for training young aspirants. His first student, Tara Lohar, helped him build and run his academy. Mangi Lal soon gained recognition for his art. He also gave free of cost training in the ‘Mahila Suraksha Abhiyan’.

Due to the deadly coronavirus outbreak, Mangi Lal had to shut down his academy and start online classes. However, as Martial Arts is a practical activity, he faced lots of difficulties in online training. Moreover, it became hard for him to pay the rent of the academy.

Mangi Lal feels accomplished when his students win medals and when he sees his female students full of self-confidence and strength.

Mangi Lal’s inspiration is his Martial Arts Teacher, Rajkumar Menaria. Moreover, he feels inspired by his father and considers him his role model. His father’s lessons on leadership, understanding and behaving with others helped him manifold.

Mangi Lal values his experiences more than education. His experience in Martial Arts helped him teach others and earn.

Mangi Lal would like to relive his Martial Arts training days if he gets to time travel.

Mangi Lal reads books, prepares for competitive exams, and watches the news when free.

He believes that a good immunity can fight all kinds of ailments and viruses. He believes exercise boosts immunity, and Martial Arts are the best way to exercise. Therefore, Mangi Lal believes that Martial Arts are a great way to boost immunity and a good career option simultaneously.
