Manav Singh is quite a cosmopolitan guy. From being born in India to living in many countries abroad to coming back to India, he has experienced a lot. He is currently the president at Mohan Singh Mehta Memorial Trust.

Manav Singh spent his early childhood in India itself. At the age of 8 he moved to Saudi Arabia with his family. He lived there till the age of 15. After that, for his further education, he went to England and completed the rest of his schooling and engineering in London.

After completing his engineering he interned with Boeing, Seattle, USA. But he soon realized that engineering is not something that he wanted to do in life. So to continue his exploration he went to Australia to pursue an MBA. After MBA he worked in sports consultancy and strategy in Australia itself for many years. He was doing pretty well in his consultancy job and earning well. But suddenly he started asking questions to himself, how much is enough for him, how much more he wants to earn? So he realized that he had earned enough and wanted to do something different and came back to India in 2008. Here in India he tried to replicate the same model that he implemented in Australia but soon realized that the Indian market doesn’t have much appetite for sports consultancy. So, he started exploring different fields and came into the volunteering sector and joined an NGO. He is currently serving as president of an NGO in Udaipur.

Talking about struggles in his life, Manav Singh says that struggles are part and parcel of one’s life. Everybody has to go through some tough times in their lives.

Manav stresses the role of education in one’s life. He says that education is really important in life. Education should be fun and beyond just books. However, he agrees that formal education has an end but experiences have no end, life keeps on teaching you new experiences.

Manav gives his piece of advice to youngsters: they should follow their passion. With consistency and hard work success can be achieved.

During his free time, Manav likes to cycle and explore new places around Udaipur. He says that there is a lot more to explore in Udaipur than just Bahubali hill and Fateh Sagar lake.
