Apart from being a Major rank NCC Officer, Jaya Sudha is also a Social Worker, who runs an NGO to support Girl Child Education and works for women upliftment and empowerment.

Major D. Jaya Sudha is an NCC Officer and Physical Director at Kasturba Gandhi Degree & PG College in Secunderabad.

Jaya Sudha belongs to Huzurnagar in the Suryapet district of Telangana. She completed all her studies from the government schools and college there. She says that she was a Volleyball player in her school. And so, after her marriage, she came to Hyderabad and studied B.P.Ed. She started her career by working as a Physical Instructor in a Junior College there. Then gradually she progressed in her career and stepped into NCC.

When asked about her Role Models, Jaya Sudha says that she considers her grandmother as her role model for supporting her mother doing single parenting since her childhood. She also draws her inspiration from Kiran Bedi.

Describing her achievements, Jaya Sudha speaks about the growth of her NCC career, how she evolved herself from a Cadre to a Major rank officer.

In her spare time, Jaya Sudha is a nature lover and enjoys spending time looking after her terrace garden. Besides, she likes to spend leisure time at her farm house every Sunday.

Jaya Sudha advises the young generation that if they want to make their career in NCC, then they should join it early from their 8th grade. Even if someone has completed their schooling, then they can join it by giving a C-Certificate exam. She says that this field has a very wide scope offering private as well as government jobs.
