Mahipal Singh Solanki is a young and passionate individual who is currently working in a cafe as a chef. He has completed his BA degree.
Hailing from the Jhadol district near Udaipur, he has been in this line since 2015. Before working at his present cafe, he had worked at various famous cafes, including Chatkazz Cafe, Bhukkad, Crave Eat Repeat, and so on, and then moved to his present place. He started his career in the cafe line, so now he wants to grow more in this field only.
Mahipal used to study in his village itself, but due to the financial crisis, he had to come to Udaipur in search of work. But he still misses his life when he was in his village. He cherishes his childhood memories and the school time a lot.
Mahipal dreams of starting a business of his own in the food line or working in a very big and prominent hotel.
During Covid's time, he didn’t face many difficulties as he was in his village with his family. He did spend quality time with them. Post-lockdown, the business was very low; he used to get bored at the cafe. But soon things started getting back to normal, and the cafe became a busy place.
According to him, newcomers in this field should begin with discipline and possess fundamental cooking knowledge. Their journey typically commences with tasks like chopping, gradually progressing to learning cooking techniques and methodologies.
Mahipal is very grateful to the owner of Bhukkad Cafe, who taught him so many things and even groomed him. He taught him how to prepare various dishes and always pointed him in the right direction.
If Mahipal ever gets a chance to go back in time, he would like to go back and continue his education so as to reach great heights. He wants to take some courses in hotel management and grow more in this particular field.
Mahipal likes learning new things. He often explores the internet in search of new recipes, tries cooking them first, and if they taste good, he carries them forward. Mahipal likes experimenting with new dishes. Every place he worked, he gained new experience and learned more.
Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Mahipal believes that both education and experience are important for the growth and progress of an individual. These two together can do wonders.
Mahipal treats his staff members well. He does not believe in scolding them; rather, he deals with them politely and helps them rectify and learn from their mistakes.
Mahipal is fond of Rajasthani music and likes to spend time with his family whenever he is free.
Mahipal advises everyone to keep working hard, as hard work always pays off.
