Mahesh Sharma is a civil engineer from Udaipur.
Recalling his childhood, Mahesh says that, as a child, he was not a studious kid. Even his father and mother did not acquire a substantial education, so there was no one to guide him. He shares that his father started his job at Rs 300 and retired with an income of Rs 3200. But he worked hard and never let his children suffer at all, which Mahesh is highly grateful for.
Mahesh considers his father his role model; he only laments the fact that he did not appreciate his efforts before. He narrates an incident in which his father bought a Rs 70,000 two-wheeler when he learned that Mahesh needed a bike without him even saying it. For this, his father took a loan and fulfilled Mahesh’s wishes. Unfortunately, his father passed away due to a severe heart attack. Thereafter, he started doing some job to support his family along with his studies. Saving up the money, he also pursued civil engineering. Now, he understands that he has to become more mature than his age and take on responsibilities. He further says that he has great friends who keep him motivated.
Mahesh believes that a civil engineer can become a good designer and architect. He thinks his profession demands the utmost dedication. He advises the aspirants to come up with some unique design concepts in the field and gain experience for at least a year before deciding that they want to pursue this field.
Comparing the two, Mahesh says that although education is important, experience is more important in the field of civil engineering. Mahesh is inspired by his former bosses in the fields of architecture and engineering.
If Mahesh could return and change something in his life, he would like to learn architecture.
In his free time, Mahesh likes to go gyming. He also likes to travel and explore new buildings of different architecture.
