Rising from a small village dweller to the esteemed position of the principal of a prestigious college, Prof. Mahesh has reached the pinnacle of his career. He is committed to elevate Ayurvedic education and refine healthcare practices.

Prof. Mahesh Dixit is serving as the Principal of the Madan Mohan Malviya Government Ayurvedic College in Udaipur and has been a part of the institution since 1999.

He attributes his entry into the field of Ayurveda to his father's wish and the legacy of his grandfather, an Ayurvedic doctor. Guided by his guru, he embarked on this journey and ultimately achieved great success in the field of education.

Born in Aspura, a village in the Sikar district of Rajasthan, Mahesh completed his primary education there before moving on to Churu for further schooling under his uncle's care. His educational journey continued with a BSc from Maharaja College, Jaipur. Later, he got admission into Mohta Ayurved College,Sadulpur and spent five years devoted to Ayurvedic studies there. Subsequently, he pursued post-graduation under the mentorship of Professor Shyam Sundar Sharma and after that also successfully completed his PhD.

Reflecting on his upbringing, Mahesh expresses gratitude for his uncle's unique teaching methods that instilled life skills and a sense of humility in him. He acknowledges the support of his parents, elder sisters, and loving mother who played pivotal roles in shaping his character. He shares that witnessing his own children thrive brings him immense happiness.

Mahesh believes that recognizing life's opportunities requires personal effort and dedication. He encourages everyone to persevere, work hard, and move forward toward their goals. The song "Ruk Jaana Nahi" inspires him, resonating with his philosophy.

While acknowledging life's inevitable struggles, Mahesh notes that overcoming challenges defines true success. Although, he did not encounter much struggle while studying. In times of financial stress, he remained patient and handled everything calmly.

Highlighting his achievements, Mahesh states that his career trajectory exceeded initial aspirations of becoming an ayurveda doctor. Initially, he started as a lecturer and now has become the principal of the prestigious college which is his greatest achievement. Under his leadership since 2017, the college expanded its postgraduate offerings from three to twelve subjects. He also takes pride in successfully representing the college in a court case in 2010. He values the support of his wife, a lecturer in the same institution.

Regarding his role models, Mahesh says he draws inspiration from his father and uncle. Beside, he expresses his gratitude to have learned from his gurus, late Vasudev Shastri and prof. Shyam Sundar Sharma.

Mahesh advises aspiring medical professionals to cultivate empathy and dedication inside them.

For the youth, he emphasizes the importance of prioritizing health over material pursuits. He also urges them to contribute meaningfully to society.He believes that life's journey is about embracing struggles, staying dedicated, and making a positive impact, all the while keeping your health and well-being at the forefront.
