Mahendra is an electrical engineer by profession. He belongs to a small town in Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan, from where he completed his high school. Following which he moved to Udaipur for his intermediate and graduation. He wasn’t well versed with the English language and scored just passing numbers in his 10th and 12th. Hence, when he joined the Techno India NJR in Udaipur for Electrical Engineering, he faced difficulty understanding due to the English medium of education. He was highly depressed due to his lack of English language skills, but motivated himself and worked hard to do better. He learned English all through his graduation and completed his first year without any backlogs. On the same note, he comments, “one of the difficult times during Engineering was the struggle with English.” Thus, his engineering days made him struggle and learn English at the same time.
He has a good command of English because working as a digital marketer he has to deal with overseas clients who are mostly English speakers, and thus his e-commerce website and all the services are in English. He believes that “if you have to achieve something don’t stop somewhere.” He is a self-inspired man and strives to become much better in the future than he is today. In his view, education is the most crucial aspect of the growth and success of an individual.
“With a good education, one gets a job in a good company where one gets a good experience.”
He believes that education and experience are both essential to success. Education, however, is the prime aspect that plays a crucial role in the professional and personal sphere of life.
According to him, leaders are born, but he has learned everything from his experiences. Today he has an office in Udaipur with a team of seven to eight. He supervises his team on content writing, digital marketing, and SEO. He manages them all and generates business from his USA and Indian clients. The leadership quality for him is in “moving together.” Facing the language barrier in his schooling and undergrad, he makes sure that anyone who joins his company, is trained and guided well, as it will only help his company prosper.
He is a self-motivated and positive individual who rose from a background where he used to serve tea with his father, who owns a tea stall. Thus, knowing the struggles and keeping sanity while facing them is his most valuable life skill. His favourite song that motivates him is Kishor Kumar’s “Chala jata hoon, Kisi ki dhun mein..” This song inspires him to follow his heart and keep working hard to achieve success.
