Mahendra Meghwal is a personal trainer and Managing Director at the Seven Twelve Fitness Club in Udaipur. He has two branches of his fitness studio. Through his fitness club, he aims to help people to be fit and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Mahendra started exercising and working out to enhance his performance in cricket. Exercising regularly, he fell in love with different types of workouts and fitness activities. Thus, he joined a gym and started working as a trainer. After gaining considerable experience, he launched his own gymnasium and started providing fitness training. He has been running his studio for the last twelve years.
Being a commerce student, he had to study to understand the science of the human body. So, he decided to do courses and get proper qualifications. He did a personal trainer course from American Council on Exercise, New Delhi. Then, he did a strength and conditioning course from Sports Authority of India, Patiala. Moreover, he completed Sports Nutrition Science online certifications from Udemy and Female Fitness Specialist Online Course from Gold’s Gym, etc., to be a fully trained and informed fitness instructor. He plans to learn more in future.
During the corona days, the fitness industry suffered huge setbacks and losses. As people were scared to join back, it was a hard time for Mahendra. Due to the nature of his work, he has to wake up very early. But during the lockdowns, he rested, relaxed, and recharged quite a lot. He spent time with his family in his village and had a fun time with his friends.
Mahendra advises freshers to adopt punctuality, sharp learning skills, dedication, motivation, and knowledge of science subjects to be a good trainer in the fitness field. He feels that leadership develops with struggles. As a leader of his team, he tries to guide his staff, always remains punctual, briefs the staff about the clients, supervises diet plans, and manages everything from a broader perspective.
Mahendra’s fitness trainers and mentors from his time in Delhi are his role models. He gets inspired by their passion and dedication towards their work and takes their guidance when needed. In his personal life, his inspiration is Mahatma Gandhi. His non-violent style of protests has made Mahendra a fan of his ways of life.
