Mahendra Kunwar is a Hindi Teacher at Vidya Bhawan Sr. Sec. School, Udaipur.
Mahendra hails from Udaipur. She did her secondary schooling from Jyoti Sr. Sec. School followed by higher school at the Residency School. She pursued her graduation at the MG College, Udaipur and then her B.Ed at the RMV School. Following it, she did masters in Hindi, in Education, and in Yoga. Mahendra says that coming from a patriarchal background, it was quite a challenge for her to study this much.
Mahendra has been associated with the Vidya Bhawan School for the past nine years. She says that the journey so far has been great and the organisation has given her dignity and opportunities to grow in life. She further adds that the young students’ zeal and dedication towards education inspires her and motivates her to do more for them.
Mahendra follows the principle of righteousness, and thus, most of her role models have this quality in common. She says that she has had numerous role models all throughout her life and her teachers have been a constant in her list who have not only taught her but have also bestowed compassion upon her.
When free, Mahendra likes listening to music, spending time with her daughters, and socialising with people.
Given a chance to go back in time with a Time Machine, Mahendra would like going back to her childhood to spend more time with her grandmother who was very loving to her.
Advising aspiring teachers, Mahendra says that you should enter the education field only if you are really passionate about teaching as this profession demands great devotion and sense of responsibility.
