Madhurima Ghosh is an actor and dancer.
Madhurima was born and brought up in Kolkata. She did her bachelor and master degrees in English Literature and then did a PG-Diploma in Acting in Different Media. She also attended a three-month-long acting workshop in NSD, Delhi. Currently, she lives in Mumbai. She is working in front of the camera, and has also worked in a few web series.
Talking about her childhood, Madhurima says that she started learning Bharatanatyam and Kathak at a young age. She got more engrossed in the artistic field and decided to get into an acting career. She remembers living in a joint family and enjoying her time a lot with her cousins.
When asked about her challenges, Madhurima opines that challenges are in every profession and help us learn, grow and evolve. She says that while she was doing theater and was four years experienced in it, her father was diagnosed with cancer and passed away just one and a half months after the diagnosis. Madhurima shares that it was a very tumultuous time for her in life.
Talking about her mistakes, Madhurima says that she has made plenty of them and most of them have been silly. Recently, she applied for a verification batch on Instagram and was tricked into giving her ID for verification which resulted in her Facebook account getting hacked. She feels that such silly mistakes keep happening in her life.
When asked about her achievements, Madhurima says that she has yet to achieve many things in life and desires to open a foster home for animals. However, she adds that whenever she receives appreciation for her work, whether it’s acting or her theater direction work, she feels good.
Madhurima shares that when it comes to her role models, her parents are the ones who come to her mind. She says that they have always been supportive of her and never criticized her decision to come into this field.
Madhurima says that her life mantra is to live and let live. She feels that every moment of our life is important and should be cherished.
To attain mental peace, Madhurima resorts to activities like Yoga, Meditation, and reading books. Also, she has cats in her home and loves taking care of them.
