Madhuri is a Dance Instructor who had a zeal to become one from an early age. She feels that support from our loved ones is necessary to do anything in our life.

Madhuri Wadhwa was born in Bikaner and pursued her education from there itself. She has done M.A. from Maharani College and is running her Madhuri Dance Academy in Jaipur.

Madhuri shares that she has been running her academy for the past eight years. She had a passion for Dance from her childhood. Her parents used to support her and after marriage as well, she got all the support needed from her in-laws and husband.

She shares that she had given several auditions and remembers the time when her first-ever audition took place at Ravindra Manch in Jaipur. Madhuri has also got a chance to be a part of television shows like ‘Nachle Bindani’ on ZEE Marudhara channel and ‘Dance India Dance: Super Moms’. After returning from Mumbai, she started her own dance classes. She picked a team of choreographers and started training students for different competitions. Madhuri feels that the taboo that was attached to Dance has now completely vanished and it is no longer considered a bad profession.

Madhuri feels that Covid affected everyone critically. She had plans to expand her academy but had to keep that aside. She added new aspects to her academy like Zumba and Aerobics as people became more health-conscious. Madhuri has also co-founded an NGO named ‘With You, For You’ which works for children who lost their parents to Covid.

Madhuri shares that being awarded the Jaipur Ratna Award and the Women Entrepreneur Award is her biggest achievement. Madhuri says that she is her own inspiration and is proud of all the hard work that she has put in during her lifetime.

She says that she has always been like a family to her team and never asserted to be a leader. They all work together and are equals. She also says that her dance academy has students of different age groups and levels and hence they have created different groups based on that so that no one misses out from getting the right level of guidance.

Madhuri feels that to open a Dance Academy one should have a talent for this field and should have a good experience in teaching Dance. She adds that financial backing is also a must as setting up an academy requires good investment.

Her Success Mantra in life is to keep working hard and keep moving ahead.

In her free time, Madhuri likes to do cooking, window shopping, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
