Dr. Madhubala Chauhan has been working in the field of Medicine for many years and feels that the Corona pandemic forced them to move on to new and innovative solutions to medical problems.

Dr. Madhubala Chauhan is HOD and Assistant Professor at Pannadhay Rajkiya Mahila Chikitsalaya, Udaipur, Rajasthan. She oversees the Gynecology department.

Madhubala was born in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh but did her schooling in Bhilwara, Rajasthan where her father worked as a Lecturer in the Government College. She did her MBBS and MS from RNT Medical College, Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Madhubala says that in her time, any student who scored First Division in Eighth standard would choose Biology as a subject. It was a precedent that was inadvertently followed. She also opted for Biology and continued her journey in the same stream.

Madhubala points out that her distant family members suggested against sending her out for studies. Her father was often taunted for his liberal approach. People used to say that Madhubala will not get a groom if she is highly educated. She says that at that time it was very tough for girls to go for higher studies.

Madhubala says that the Covid pandemic forced them to change prevalent medical practices. They had to take extra care of pregnant women and more precautions regarding Biomedical Waste were adopted. She says that it was her responsibility to take care of her staff members by arranging Covid related essentials like PPE kits, masks, gloves, and sanitizers.

Madhubala feels that in this profession one should ensure three things. First is Availability in emergency conditions, second is proper behavior towards patients and third is compatibility towards the field.

She says that her father is her role model. He promised Madhubala that he will support her in her studies till she wants. He supported her thick and thin and motivated her to achieve her dreams.

Madhubala says that she seldom gets free time for pursuing hobbies. However, she likes watching old movies and reading books.
