A miniature artist, Madan has been carrying out his artistic journey for the last forty years. He has showcased his artwork in different states of India and has been carrying forward his family’s legacy of artwork.

Madan Lal Kumawat is an artist who creates miniature paintings. He showcases his artwork in the Shilpgram event in Udaipur.

Madan was born and brought up in Udaipur. Since his childhood, he is highly passionate about India’s art and wishes to preserve the integrity and existence of his forefathers' culture and work by showcasing it to the people.

Madan believes that Corona has given him a face-to-face experience about how difficult life is and what extremities can do to a person. During such trying times, he didn't even have enough resources to feed himself but says that he was lucky to have kind people who helped him in this condition. Even then, Madan kept on practicing and made a bare minimum income.

Madan specializes in miniature painting which is the only way to support himself financially. Madan says that his work requires many efforts with little or fewer gains, so he requests everyone to help and let it prosper else it will completely get eradicated from the market.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Madan says that experience matters more in the field of art.

When asked about his role models, Madan says he draws inspiration from his father, who taught him to work hard and struggle to achieve big things in life.

Madan loves staying busy and wants people to believe in their inner self and self-conscience and work hard without thinking of anything else that comes their way. This nature lets him face all odds and believe in a better tomorrow.
