Sreenivasulu is enthusiastic to continue with his passion of making replicas of famous monuments with cast-off pen refills and bringing a change in the world.

M R Sreenivasulu is a Software Engineer by profession. He is passionate about his mission to save the environment and create awareness on plastic pollution and its hazardous effects. He does it by transforming the cast-off pen refills into beautiful replicas of world-famous monuments.

Sreenivasulu was born and brought up in Dharmavaram in Andhra Pradesh. He did a software engineering course.

Recalling his childhood memories, Sreenivasulu says that he was quite interested in the various colors of the sarees in his father's shop. He had an artistic attitude and always desired to become an architect. But his parents suggested that he take Computer Science.

Talking about the journey in his life, Sreenivasulu says that he was not happy with the Computer Science course. He continued his hobby alongside his studies and in 2007 he started making a model of the Eiffel tower from the cast-off pen refills. It took him eight months to complete the model. He presented it to his college management who were so appreciative that he was asked to take it to all the classes and explain to them about the art. Sreenivasulu got enormous support from the students for creating awareness about plastic pollution. He also went to various schools and colleges to teach this art.

Continuing to share about his journey, Sreenivasulu says that after completing the CS course he joined an IT company and secured himself financially so that he could continue with his passion. He has made replicas of 11 famous monuments like the Taj Mahal, Hawa Mahal of Jaipur, Leaning Tower of Pisa and many more. He is confident that he will continue making more replicas in his life.

When asked about role models in his life, Sreenivasulu says that his dance and drawing teacher played the biggest role in making him an artist.

Sharing his accomplishments in life, Sreenivasulu says that he was proud to have his name in India Book of records in 2012 for making an individual world record in a personal capacity. Also, he has received many awards for his art. Every award makes him think and be responsible for the next.

Regarding mistakes in his life, Sreenivasulu says that he is not a good influencer. He is unable to convince his parents about his creativity and also unable to convince people about his painting.

Sreenivasulu's success mantra is to make communication and networking better.  His secret of success is focus and presence of mind.

Regarding creativity and innovation, Sreenivasulu feels that one should be a child at heart, but not childish. Being a child at heart makes you learn new things.

To everyone, Sreenivasulu’s advice is to use plastic responsibly and save the environment.
