Luv Sharma started his career journey with Sunrise Group of Institutions as a lecturer and after completing a year, joined SS College of Engineering, Department of Electronics. Gradually he got promoted as an Assistant Professor and is also the Exam Incharge at SS College for eleven years now.
Born and brought up in Udaipur, Luv completed his schooling at Central Academy and then joined Shrinathji Institute of Technology to pursue his BE in Electronics and Communication. He shares that he had got admission in NIT Trichy, however, he had to leave it owing to food and health problems. Luv then completed his M.Tech at SKIT Jaipur and is planning for his PhD in Electrical Engineering.
Luv shares that SS College of Engineering is the only NAAC accredited institute in Southern Rajasthan which in itself speaks of the quality it offers. He says that the institution introduces students to technologies like embedded systems to PLC-SCADA to solar energy and is currently working on Human Machine Interface.
Luv prefers studying in groups as the best method of learning and suggests students make notes on every topic to be shared and discussed within the class. This way he believes that the students will overcome any hesitation they might have in facing the class which Luv also faced in his initial days.
For Luv, both education and experience are of relevance and believes that having only experience without education is of no worth. He says that with education, one can explore more and gain experience, hence for him education comes first followed by experience.
Luv suggests youth to sustain in one field for a long time rather than switching tasks from time to time. He believes that one should gain mastery in a single domain rather than being a jack of all trades and master of none.
Luv’s role model is his father who motivates him to keep going in any circumstances. If he could go back in a time machine, he would like to relive his school days, particularly his 6th grade to 9th grade which he considers as a golden period of his life.
