Lokesh Jain is a Mathematics teacher at Badala Classes-a renowned coaching center in Udaipur.

Lokesh has been teaching at Badala Classes for four years. Lokesh specializes in teaching Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. He also specialises in teaching methods for quick mathematical calculations to save the time of students in competitive examinations. He wrote a book Quick Calculations published by Rajasthan Patrika and this book is available nationwide for purchase.

Lokesh completed his schooling at St. Gregorius Convent School. He completed his degree in MCA from the VBRI College. He took tuitions to support his family financially. Teaching later became his passion and eventually, he decided to be a full-time professional teacher.

According to him, 2020 was the worst financial year for many. However, he believes that we should learn from the opportunities presented by this pandemic. Technology has had many applications in our life in these times. There was a digital app developed for use by Badala Classes which made communication between students and teachers seamless. However, he believes that online classes are no substitute for offline classes as students have a different attitude to learning but online classes provide a backup to the students. However, many students were hesitant to reach offline classes even after the lockdown was lifted.

For aspiring teachers he says that one qualification required is a passion for teaching and patience. Passion to learn and teach should both be present in a teacher. Education is important. School-based education and common sense are both required to be learned and honed respectively. Experience is the best teacher after education is completed. For overall development, both should have a balance. Education provides us experience and experience provides us with education according to him.

Students are his role models. According to him, one can learn both positive things and negative things from them. One can learn which traits to develop and which to avoid as teachers and participate in more holistic development in the classroom. Students are the best teachers according to him.
