Driven by her love for Economics, Leena became a teacher to spread her knowledge to her students and create future economists.

Leena Sharma is an Associate Professor at Pacific University.

Leena was born and raised in Ratlam, MP. She settled in Udaipur after her marriage. She has completed her schooling, graduation, and then PG from Ratlam itself.

Talking about her professional life, Leena says that she pursued her Ph.D after five years of her marriage, on the advice of her relative-cum-mentor. And then she joined the college as an Economics Professor as she always liked teaching.

Leena shares that the most difficult phase of her life was when her father got diagnosed with cancer and she had to take the responsibility of her whole family. She says that her limited knowledge of the disease made her even more anxious. She says that even her father’s ultimate demise after six months couldn’t break her and she remained strong for her family.

Leena considers her mother as her role model, who was a working mother but never failed in any of her family responsibilities. She also finds Honourable PM Narendra Modi to be very inspirational.

Sharing her COVID experience, Leena says that it was particularly devastating for her, as her whole family, including herself, got infected with the disease during the second wave. She says that her family even suffered the demise of her mother-in-law due to COVID. She says that it was a tough time but she faced it with resilience and sailed through it.

In her spare time, Leena gives free coaching to her neighbourhood students. She says that she loves Economics and most of her day revolves around it.

Given a chance to go back in time with a time machine, Leena would like reliving her childhood.

Advising the youth, Leena says that you should use social media wisely and value your time.
