As a teacher, Leena is continually striving to improve her teaching pedagogy so that she can deliver her knowledge better to her students.

Leena hails from Udaipur. She has been teaching at Abhinav School for the past four years. Before joining Abhinav School, she taught at another school for three years. Leena says that teaching at Abhinav School has helped her improve her teaching methodology and she has learnt a lot working here.

Leena completed her schooling from Bhinder. Then she graduated from BN College. She also holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry and B.Ed. After that she started at Abhinav School and her experience here has been good ever since. She teaches the Science subject to the students of classes six, seven, and eighth.

Leena spent her childhood in Jaipur as her father worked as an engineer there. She says that she never really had to struggle as she came from a well-to-do family. But after her wedding, it took her a while to settle in her in-laws’ family. But with patience, she managed it all and settled there.

Leena says that during the Covid pandemic, many people suffered with regard to their finances, be it paying rent for the house or managing expenses. She advises people to save enough money to survive during tough times.

Leena considers her mother as her role model. She says that her mother is very well-behaved. She has learnt a lot from her parents and it shows in her disposition too.

Leena believes that education is not about getting a good job and acquiring a good position. Rather it’s about being a good individual. Besides, she says that experience in life helps to do a job better and deal with challenges that one faces in their job.

Leena is a versatile lady. Besides teaching, she likes to cook, sing and look after her kids.She tries to fulfill all her roles to the best of her capacity. She also likes to read and keep herself updated so as to be a better person.

If she could go back in time and undo something, Leena would want to get a government teaching job first and then get married.

Leena is also a spiritual person. She likes to worship Lord Shiva and sing hymns.

To the aspiring teachers, Leena advises that first you need to understand the psychology of students and then devise your framework to teach them.

Leena thinks that struggles are a part of everyone’s life. But she says that a woman’s life is always a struggle. A woman has to struggle from the time she is born till she grows up. Even after her wedding struggles in her life continue. She advises people to teach their girl child good values and provide her a good education and a strong foundation so that she can be independent.
