Lalit is a self-taught salon artist who bounced back from difficulties and worked in different fields before opening his own salon in Udaipur.

Lalit Kumar Ved is the owner of Sartaj Hair Art, based in Udaipur.

Recalling his early days, Lalit says that he completed his schooling in his village but could not study further due to his poor financial situation. Thereafter, he moved to Surat and worked there for a clothing line before starting his salon career in Udaipur.

Discussing his challenges, Lalit says that he has gone through tough times since losing his father to death. After his demise, it took every ounce of effort for Lalit to stand on his own feet. COVID was another difficult period for him, a time he had to sit at home for a year as a result of which he accumulated debts.

If Lalit could go back in time through a time machine, he would revisit his old days when his father was alive and learn valuable things from him.

Lalit advises aspiring salon artists to gain enough knowledge in this field and know how to fulfil their customers’ requirements.

Lalit likes to stay physically fit and watches news in his free time.

अपने शुरुआती दिनों को याद करते हुए ललित कहते हैं कि उन्होंने अपनी स्कूली शिक्षा अपने गांव में ही पूरी की, लेकिन आर्थिक स्थिति खराब होने के कारण आगे नहीं पढ़ पाए। इसके बाद, वह सूरत चले गए और उदयपुर में अपना सैलून कैरियर शुरू करने से पहले वहां एक कपड़े की लाइन के लिए काम किया।

अपनी चुनौतियों के बारे में चर्चा करते हुए, ललित कहते हैं कि अपने पिता की मृत्यु के बाद से वह कठिन समय से गुजरे हैं। उनके निधन के बाद, ललित को अपने पैरों पर खड़ा होने के लिए खूब प्रयास करना पड़ा। कोविड उनके लिए एक और कठिन समय था, एक ऐसा समय जब उन्हें एक साल के लिए घर पर बैठना पड़ा, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप उन पर कर्ज जमा हो गया।
