Lalit is on an eco-friendly journey to create employment opportunities for all by designing bamboo products.

Lalit Soni is a designer at Bamboo Art & Craft who makes bamboo products as an alternative to plastic. He has been in this industry for the last five years.

Recalling his early days, Lalit shares that his mother was diagnosed with a brain haemorrhage at a time when he was preparing for government exams. Since Lalit could not focus much on his preparation, he decided to use his creativity and design bamboo products. He was soon rewarded and recognised for his efforts by the state government.

When asked about his role models, Lalit says he draws inspiration from his father, who has always been environmentally conscious and is an advocate of eco-friendly products. He has also learned valuable lessons from his elder brother, who is the manager of their company.

Lalit likes to spend time with his friends, ride bikes, and listen to songs in his spare time.
