Lalit is a multi-talented personality with a significant social media presence. His pen name goes by the name ‘Samyak Lalit’ and he also contributes towards the development of society.

Lalit Kumar is the Author of the famous book ‘Vitamin Zindagi’ in which he has shared his life story. He also writes poems on Kavita Kosh, an online platform which he founded in 2006. The platform has become the world's largest library based on Indian Literature incorporating poems in 50 Indian languages. Lalit is also a Web Developer, Technical Blogger and a YouTuber. Writing is his forte and also his full-time profession. He also has a publication house of his own.

Lalit received his education and training in Software and Web Development. He has also done his Masters in Bioinformatics from the UK. Before this, he worked for the UN as a permanent employee and had a great international exposure for five years. However, later he felt that his career had become stagnant over time, so he resigned from his job to continue with his studies. After completing his masters, Lalit worked on a European Union Project based on Bioinformatics. He found his way back to India in 2009 to work on his community project Kavita Kosh.

Lalit also works with a National Book Fest as a Social Media Consultant. He is the Chairman of two NGOs by the name Lalit International and Evara Foundation. The latter works for persons with disabilities. Lalit was awarded in 2018 by the Indian Government for being a role model for persons with disabilities.

Talking about the challenges that he has faced, Lalit shares that he got Polio when he was just four years old and life has been difficult since then, but that never hampered his positive outlook towards life.

Talking about the pandemic, Lalit says that it was a disruptive phase for all with the shutdown of schools and business, and people being laid off from their jobs. He shares that during Covid, he got ample time to do all his projects and also performed social work to help five thousand migrants get back to their homes. During the second wave of Covid, Lalit made food and ration available to people with disabilities.

Lalit also has a YouTube channel ‘DashamLav’ delivering content on employment and rights of persons with disabilities that also helps him to reach a wider audience.

Lalit likes to write and travel in his free time. He loves to connect with different people and understand their culture. Coding is also his favourite pastime.

If Lalit could time travel, he would revisit his school days back in his 6th, 7th and 8th standards. He would also go back to his time in the UK when he was pursuing his masters.

Lalit advises the youth to never get taken aback by setbacks since life eventually gets better with time. He adds that one should not get demotivated and depressed with one unfavourable incident of life and remember the happy ones. Lalit says that everyone should take help whenever in need and pour out their problems in front of their close friends.

He feels that all of us should never miss an opportunity to help people in any way we can, especially those who are not known to us. Lalit adds that if we all help one another, then an unexpected help will also reach us when in need and society will also grow and get better day by day.
