Lakshyaraj Singh Rathore works as a state head with Flipkart Wholesale.
Lakshyaraj was born and brought up in Udaipur. He studied at MMPS. He did his B.Com. from Udaipur itself. Then he moved to Mumbai to do his MBA from ITM University there.
Lakshyaraj shares that during his MBA, he got recruited by LG Electronics and worked with the company as an area manager for about four and a half years at different locations. Then he joined Flipkart Wholesale and has been working with them ever since.
Talking about his childhood, Lakshyaraj says that he was an average student academically but had a special inclination toward computers and technology.
Lakshyaraj advises youngsters not to compare themselves with others on the basis of their grades and the colleges they go to. He says, everyone is different, and more than your grades, it’s your skills that recruiters look for whilst offering you a job.
Talking about his mistakes, Lakshyaraj says that he always loved technology and computers but owing to his phobia for math, he did not do engineering and chose to do B.Com. instead. And in retrospect, he laments that if he had done engineering, he would have been a good engineer today as his passion for technology comes naturally to him. However, he says, he has no regrets as he made his decision on the basis of his situation at that time.
His piece of advice to youngsters is to not limit themselves and explore things as much as they can as their level of thinking depends on the exposure they have. Besides, he advises people to use social media sagaciously as artificial intelligence nowadays keeps you consumed on social media by showing the content of your interest one after the other. Furthermore, he advises people to use their time wisely and also take care of their health by running, doing meditation, or going to the gym in their free time.
He also adds that you should learn people management as everyone is different and adaptability and adjusting to others is the key to progressing at every front of life.
When asked about his role models, Lakshyaraj says he considers his father as his benchmark and also his role model and source of inspiration.
