Leaving behind poverty, Kushal Devi, with her art and skills, worked hard to make her living and now she is a successful women entrepreneur.

Kushal Devi runs her shop Konica Hastkala Kendra at Fatehpura, Udaipur. She also sells her products at fairs.

Kushal Devi was born in Udaipur. She spent her childhood in utter poverty. Her family used to do small-scale work and make a living. After her marriage, she started sewing dresses to support her family. She learned all her skills and artwork by herself.

Talking about her journey in life, Kushal Devi says that she registered herself with the khadi industries. She took out a loan and started making the best out of waste materials. She made puppets, saree bags, masks, school bags, jewelry and many other products. Kushal Devi says her business started growing and now she has a large-scale business.

When asked about her role model in life, Kushal says that she was inspired by her father who guided and motivated her to use skills in different ways and make a living.

Sharing her Covid experience, Kushal says that during the pandemic, to make a living she used to make masks and sold them at her shop and at different places.

Kushal was awarded for her skills and sales in a program held in Bangalore. This is her biggest achievement, says Kushal.
