Kunj Bihari Sharma is the Headmaster at The Stanvard School, Udaipur. He has been in the teaching profession for the past thirty-two years. He hails from the small village of Kanore, near Udaipur.
Recollecting his childhood memories, Kunj Bihari says that he had a wonderful childhood despite financial adversities. He was the youngest of his six brothers and sisters and everyone's favorite. He remembers taking dips in the small village pond with his friends and playing old, now forgotten games that he used to like the most. He says that the financial crunch was such that he used to roam around in torn pants but still enjoyed his childhood with great enthusiasm. When he grew up, he became a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and used to practice playing a lot there as well. Kabaddi was his favorite sport, and he excelled at it.
Kunj Bihari completed his schooling at the Jawahar Vidya Peeth in Kanore. He came to Udaipur after the 10th standard, and after completing the 11th standard at Kanwarpada School in Udaipur, he took further education at B.N College. He did a B.A., M.A., and B.Ed., and after that, he joined The Stanvard School.
Speaking about his struggles, Kunj Bihari says that he had to face great disappointment when he did not get success in the Pre-Medical exam twice. He then made the decision to switch to B.A. He considers this period as the most challenging in his life, and coming out of it was quite difficult for him.
When asked about his role models, Kunj Bihari says he considers his elder brother, who was an engineer in Doordarshan, as his role model. He also holds Madan Lal Mundra, the founder of The Stanvard School, in high regard. He says that Madan ji was his mentor and gave him the support he needed to grow as a teacher.
If he could go back in time via a time machine, Kunj Bihari would like to realize his father's unfulfilled dream. His father was a compounder and wanted his son to become a doctor, which he could not do and which he regrets.
In his spare time, Kunj Bihari enjoys reading biographies of great men. He thinks that the biographies of great men show the children the way to live life, so he narrates them to the children in his school assembly. Apart from this, he also performs his duties as a member of the RSS. He also visits the Vanvasi Kalyan Parishad from time to time to guide the children there.
Kunj Bihari’s only success mantra for achieving success in life is to put your all into anything you do, avoid lying, and be honest with both your job and other people. Furthermore, he advises the youth to prioritize the country before all other objectives.
Kunj Bihari has a suggestion for today's youth that they should inculcate good habits and strive tirelessly to achieve their goals. If they do this, success will be at their feet, and no task will be unattainable.
