A Tattoo Artist and a keen admirer of Art, Kunal Tekwani thinks that those who always believe in themselves and their work, surely go places in life however hard it may be for them.

Kunal Tekwani is the Founder of Vintage Tattoo Studio which he started in Delhi and today he owns branches of the same in other cities as well.

Kunal hails from Pushkar, Ajmer. He completed his schooling from there itself.

Kunal shares that after completing high school, he went to China, and there he got fascinated with Tattoo Art and also got his first tattoo done there. Later, he came back to India and went to Delhi. In Delhi, he happened to meet a tattoo artist based there, who later became his tattoo instructor and taught him the Art of Tattooing from scratch.

Kunal says that he was always fond of traveling and he found out that a tattoo artist can work from anywhere and even on the go. He says that as a tattoo artist he got to explore many places around the world and meet new people which broadened his horizon and it also helped him set up his own tattoo studio.

Talking of his struggles, Kunal says that initially, he had to face apprehensions from his family as his parents thought being a tattoo artist was not a stable profession. Besides, people around him never really took his profession seriously.

Talking of Covid, Kunal says that even during the pandemic, people wanted tattoos on their skin. And due to that, he did not have to face any financial challenges during the pandemic.

His tattoo instructor, Ali sir, is his first and the only Role Model and Inspiration, Kunal says.

In his spare time, Kunal likes to go to the gym. Besides, he is also fond of Mountaineering.
