Krishan Kumar Sharma is working as a School Lecturer in the Education Department at Government Higher Secondary School in Dholpur. He belongs to a rural area from Chandupura village in Dholpur. He had his early education in his village and for secondary and higher secondary education, he went to Baseri Tehsil. He did his college from Dholpur.
Krishan joined the education department in 1998 as a primary teacher. Earlier his wish was to go into some other areas but after joining this field, he felt that the children in villages are deprived of even basic human needs and lack proper education. So, he felt, if his efforts could make a difference in these children’s lives, then nothing would be better.
Gradually Krishan tried to encourage more students towards education. He went to many places during his transfers and wherever he went, he made people aware about education and its importance and encouraged children to study for a better future. He feels self-satisfied to be in such a respectable field and he thinks that although the results obtained from this field are quite late, if you work with honesty, and develop a strong connection with students, success definitely follows.
Krishan feels that in today’s time the level of education is deteriorating and the reason behind it is our society and teachers. He thinks that people are looking at the industry merely as a source of business and they are entering in this line just to secure their life. They are taking this job for granted and have gone astray in this noble field. Due to this, society is losing respect for the entire teaching fraternity. Hence, he feels bad about it and says unless teachers are respected in the society, education will not be able to achieve its level.
After becoming a lecturer and coming in contact with senior students, Krishan not only put his efforts to make them fit for a profession but also tried to make them socialise.
During Covid pandemic, the schools were closed. Personally, Krishan spent most of his time in the control room of the city council. Also, due to his attachment with students, he remained connected with them via online mediums.
Chandrabhan Sharma was the headmaster of his school and is Krishan's role model for being cooperative and for giving good advice. He considers his father too as a role model, because he always encouraged Krishan to discharge his responsibilities honestly and constructively.
Evaluating himself, Krishan says he does not consider himself as an expert in any field yet he is quite popular among his friends and family, even in school and everyone considers Krishan as a successful person.
Watching today’s generation, Krishan observes that in the race of moving forward at a fast pace they are losing patience and do not follow the process. They lack consistency in their work and are unaware of the fact that this approach is even pulling them back. So he advises them to maintain consistency in their work to the best of their ability and doing so, they will surely succeed.
Krishan’s biggest achievement is his satisfaction towards his work.
